Bento Box Art Collection (Awesome, Just Awesome)

Published on March 28, 2010, by in Art, Featured, Sweet Eats.

In a bit of a twist from yesterday’s post- it’s food that looks like an object (irony, but not).  Below is a collection of some of the coolest bento boxes I’ve been able to find.  The below is food, that look like things or characters.

Where I could I tracked down the original artists while I couldn’t for all of them- if you know the company or artist who made them, post it in the comments.  These are far, far too awesome to go unattributed.

Nintendo DS Bento Boxdsbentobox

This is a bento box that is made to look like an Nintendo DS.  If you are a gamer or not, this is pretty cool.

Personally this one would be hard to eat, it’s too cute.

Wall-E Bento Boxwall_e_bento

Wall-E has always gotten to me with those incredibly sad eyes (for what it may be worth, no- I haven’t seen the movie yet).

Calvin and Hobbs Bento Box

calvin-and-hobbes-bento-box Of course the greatest comic ever would make the best bento box ever.

Bioshock Bento Box (Big Daddy & Little Sister)

If you aren’t familiar with the Bioshock games, the big guy is called a Big Daddy and the girl on the shoulders is called a Little Sister.

Traditional Japanese Art- In Bento Box Form

The above is beyond fantastic.  I love the use of colors and the food itself, and besides the traditional Japanese paintings are already beyond wonderful.

Hello Kitty Bento Box

Hello Kitty!  Okay I have a huge obsession (I know, I know – along with almost everybody else).
